What is the Museum? The Museum is a collection of records relating to Sandhurst's history rather than a building with open public access.
We had to start somewhere! Beginning in the early 1990's a small collection of photographs, programmes and newspaper articles relating to events in Sandhurst was acquired. Public exhibitions, presentations and talks were given to publicise the project and to appeal for further gifts and loans. These have now grown over the years to well over 1,000 items. This collection of documents is catalogued under as many headings as seems appropriate to help members of the public find out if we possess material on their particular interest. Items may be found under headings:
  • Maps,
  • Clubs,
  • Roads,
  • Associations,
  • Farms,
  • Churches,
  • Schools,
  • Shops,
  • People,
  • Events,
  • The Museum belongs to Sandhurst and is supported by Sandhurst Town Council. Committee members would welcome enquiries about the collection.

Museum Activities The museum supports schools with local projects and History Research Groups, by making resource material available.Committee members give talks to local clubs and groups. The museum makes its archive available by staging regular exhibitions.
